Independence Day BBQ and Baseball July 7
Join France Etats-Unis Midi Pyrénées Sunday July 7th at noon for our annual BBQ celebrating the American Independence Day.
This year we will be celebrating a few days after the 4th, and collaborating with the Leguevin Duckies Baseball team for a perfect summer match of baseball and BBQ.
Where:
Stade des Pins Verts Léguevin France 31490 (behind the Gymnase des Pins Verts). If driving from Toulouse, take direction Auch on the highway, exit 8 towards Le Salvetat St Gilles/Plaisance du Touch Leguevin, and follow the signs for Léguevin. You can enter « Terrain de baseball de Léguevin » on Google Maps. You can park at the gym, and then cross the soccer fields in order to get out to the baseball area where the BBQ will take place.
What:
Registration for the BBQ includes all food and drink (apéro, burgers and hot dogs and vegetarian options, dessert, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks). Please register and pay by July 3rd.
A softball game for adults and children over 12, with all equipment provided, will also be organized for attendees in the afternoon. Younger children will be able to try baseball with a T-ball set-up (again, all equipment provided). Duckies members will be on hand to explain baseball/softball rules, so it’s the perfect chance to try America’s favorite sport.

When:
Sunday July 7 from noon, although some extra hands to help set up are welcome from 10 am. The baseball/softball activities will start around 3pm.
Don’t forget:
Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, shoes appropriate for playing sports if you want to join the softball game. If you need a ride, carpooling will be set up in the private Facebook group.
